Seeing a Baseball Game in Taichung

The CTBC Brothers play at Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium from late March to October.

Taichung is a baseball city: it is home to the CTBC Brothers (中信兄弟) of the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL, 中華職棒), and they play at Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium (臺中洲際棒球場) in Beitun. A game is a great night out even if you do not follow the sport: cheerleaders, drums, chants and a song for every batter, and tickets cost less than a concert.

  • Home team CTBC Brothers, based here since 2015
  • Stadium Completed in 2006; the city lists room for 15,000
  • Address No. 835, Chongde Rd., Beitun District
  • Getting there G Wenxin Chongde Station (Green Line, 106), then Bus 12, 58, 71 or 701

The season

  • Regular season Late March to late September. The 2026 season, the CPBL's 37th, opened on 28 March at the Taipei Dome with the Rakuten Monkeys beating the CTBC Brothers 3-2.
  • Postseason The Brothers hosted their playoff series against the Uni-President Lions in Taichung from 9 October 2026. The whole Taiwan Series was then played at the Taipei Dome, where the Wei Chuan Dragons beat the Brothers 4-2, winning Game 6 6-0 on 26 October.
  • 2027 The league had not announced the 2027 schedule when we checked. Expect opening day in late March, and look for the schedule on the CPBL website over the winter.
  • Game times Weekdays: gates 17:30, first pitch 18:35. Weekends and holidays: gates 14:00, first pitch 17:05.

Tickets

The Brothers sell their own home tickets:

  • Online on the official ticket site or the CTBC SPORTS app, by credit card only. Advance sales close at 23:59 the day before the game. In the app, the e-ticket is a live QR code; screenshots and printouts are not accepted.
  • At 7-Eleven on the ibon kiosk.
  • At the stadium box office on the day, from 16:30 for weekday games and 14:00 at weekends. It takes cash (and some CTBC cards), and you cannot choose your seat.

Prices depend on the seat and the day. At the start of the 2026 season, infield hot zone seats were NT$500 on weekdays and up to NT$750 at weekends; on theme days outfield seats were NT$300 and infield general seats NT$600. The full price chart is on the team's ticket page.

Good to know: the infield hot zone (熱區) is where the cheering happens. If you would rather sit and watch, pick infield general seats or the outfield.
